What are the Free Spirit Spheres in Qualicum Beach, B.C.?
If you are looking for unforgettable vacations while experiencing nature first-hand, you should look no further than the Free Spirit Spheres in Qualicum Beach, British Columbia. This hotel is located in a rainforest on British Columbia's Vancouver Island.
This is an adult-only experience that promises to provide the ultimate accommodation on tree tops. Once you get there, you can easily spot the three huge globes suspended about 5 meters off the ground. Their names are Eyrn, Melody, and Luna.
The hobbit-like enclosures offer a warm inside ambience that you will not want to leave.
Melody is the first fiber-glass sphere. A short bridge and a spiral of stairs get you to the front door of this unique resting spot. The interior is colored walnut and features five windows, a skylight, a small sink, purified water, cupboards with dishes, and all the accessories needed to make a drink.
A living room and studio during the day, Melody also features a bed to accommodate two people. A thermostat on the wall heats the interior and adjustable lighting help you set the mood. It is great for a working studio during the day and overnight stays.
This is the oldest of the cottages and this one is carved from Sitka Spruce. It has a diameter of 10.5.ft. and 5 windows including a skylight and the same amenities as Melody. You can get to Eyrn's door after taking an elevated walkway through the platform. Eyrn can accommodate two adults.
Luna is relatively new and is the largest and most luxurious sphere. It also has the five windows as the others. The first thing you note about this sphere is that it is all luxury. It contains its own electronic system to regulate the temperature.
The interior is equally mesmerizing with a bed for two people.
